MF-012

Ice Out 14 April
Onésime Larivière · 2018
Aquamarine and pale bottle-green shards run as banded diagonals from the left edge and fold into a single eddy set right of centre, where the courses close to 2 mm joints and turn back on themselves. Plates of Carrara white, cut larger than the surrounding glass, are shoved across the upper left in overlapping wedges; rust brown and bottle amber fill a shoal along the lower right. All backs were ground before setting, and the whole face was laid reversed on paper and grouted in the mortar's own grey.
Condition note
One porcelain shard low in the eddy carries a lightning scar burned through its glaze — the only mark on this panel he did not make.
